Jim is co-Managing Partner and CEO of Astatine Investment Partners and Chairman of the Investment Committee.
He has over 25 years of infrastructure experience and has been at AIP for nearly 14 years. Prior to joining Astatine, Jim was Managing Director and Global Head of the Power and Utilities Group in the Investment Banking Division at UBS.
Jim has an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management and a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from Washington & Lee University. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa honorary societies.
Andrew is co-Managing Partner and COO of AIP. He is a member of the Investment Committees of Fund II, Fund III and Fund IV.
He has over 25 years of experience in infrastructure. He has worked at AIP for 13 years. He joined AIP as a Managing Director in 2012 and became Head of Sourcing in Europe and Head of AIP’s European business. He was named a Partner in 2014 and was appointed Managing Partner in January 2020.
Prior to joining AIP, he was a Managing Director in Infrastructure, Utilities and Natural Resources investment banking at Goldman Sachs in London.
Ben is a Partner and Head of European Investments. He joined Astatine after spending over a decade at Evercore, where most recently he was Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the Utilities, Infrastructure and Transport Group at Evercore, across Europe and Asia. Ben advised Astatine on a number of occasions, including on the take-private of Energy Assets Group and the sale of South Staffordshire Water Group to KKR. He has advised several other leading global infrastructure investors during his 20-year investment banking career including 3i Infrastructure, Antin, CPPIB, GIC, Goldman Sachs, I Squared Capital, JPM, KKR, Macquarie, Q-Super, OMERS, OTPP and USS.
Frank is AIP’s Head of Global Equipment Leasing. He runs a separate account, ATA, that pursues a strategy distinct from AIP’s infrastructure funds. He serves on the Investment Committee of ATA.
Prior to joining AIP, he served as Chief Executive Officer and President at Intrepid Aviation Group Holdings LLC, a private equity-sponsored business. Frank restructured and repositioned the business with a new origination and funding strategy and developed a commercial aircraft leasing portfolio with over $3 billion in assets.
Prior to this, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of AWAS Aviation Capital Ltd, another private equity-sponsored business. He led the restructuring of the company and the acquisition of Pegasus Aviation Finance Company, creating one of the industry’s top three commercial aircraft operating lessors, with over $6 billion in assets.
Joe is a Partner and is the Chief Legal Officer of AIP.
He has over 30 years of infrastructure experience, both as a lawyer and an engineer. He has worked at AIP for over 15 years. He was named a Partner in 2014.
Prior to joining AIP, he held various positions in the General Counsel’s Office at Citigroup, most recently serving as Head of the North American Corporate Finance Legal Team.
Said has 18 years of experience in infrastructure and is a member of the Global Investments team. He initially joined AIP in 2007, and rejoined in 2024 after spending three-years with American Triple I, an emerging infrastructure fund manager. Said started his career as an analyst with CIBC World Markets and worked with the industrial and aerospace and defense groups. He has a B.A., magna cum laude from Middlebury College.
Chris has 15 years of experience in infrastructure. He is a member of the Global Investments team and the firm's Chief Risk Officer. He has worked for AIP for 13 years. Prior to joining AIP in 2012, he was an analyst in the industrials group at Deutsche Bank. He has also worked in the special opportunities group at MSD Capital in New York. He has a B.A. from Yale University.
Lubna is the Chief Financial Officer of AIP and is responsible for all accounting, tax, finance and financial reporting functions for AIP’s funds and accounts. She has over 20 years of experience in accounting, audit, finance and administration, and she has been at AIP for 15+ years. As CFO, Lubna is a non-voting member of the Investment Committees of Fund II, Fund III and ATA. Prior to joining AIP, she was a senior auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She has a B.A. in Accounting and Economics from City University of New York and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Margaret is AIP's General Counsel. She provides AIP and its funds with legal advice and related commercial analysis, including advice on investment structures.
Prior to joining AIP in 2022, Margaret was senior counsel at an iconic grocery store chain based in the New York Tristate area. After the company filed for bankruptcy in 2020, she was retained by the debt holders to develop and execute a business plan for a high-end wine and gourmet food store utilizing assets from the bankrupt company.
Margaret has over 12 years of legal experience with expertise in corporate governance matters, contracts, compliance and employment law. She holds a B.A. from Tufts University in Massachusetts, and a J.D. from Columbia University in New York.
Cathy has over 15 years of infrastructure experience. Prior to joining AIP in 2009, she was an associate at Goldman Sachs in its private equity merchant banking group and consumer retail group in New York. She previously worked at Morgan Stanley in Toronto and New York. She has a B.Com. in Economics and Finance from University of Toronto and MBA from Harvard Business School.
Matthew has over 20 years of experience in a variety of industries, including nearly 15 years in investment banking and private equity.
Prior to joining AIP in 2019, Matthew was a director in the equity capital markets group at Daiwa Securities in Tokyo, covering REITs and infrastructure funds. He lived in Japan for nearly 18 years and is fluent in Japanese. He has a B.A. from the University of British Columbia.
Daniel is a member of the Global Investments team, dedicated to AIP's Global Equipment Leasing strategy. He has over 10 years of experience in aircraft and transportation asset leasing, having worked at Intrepid Aviation as Director of Corporate Finance in Planning & Analysis, Treasury and aircraft portfolio origination; and GE Commercial Aviation Services as VP of Finance in the Planning & Analysis and Treasury functions. Prior to joining AIP in 2022, he worked for AECOM/Tishman, a large infrastructure and construction management firm. He has a B.S. in Finance and Management Information Systems from Babson College and an MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut.
Santiago is a member of the Global Investments team and has over 10 years of corporate finance experience in a variety of industries. Prior to joining AIP in 2022, Santiago worked at Credit Suisse's investment banking division in New York and London as a member of the Global Industrials Group focused on the Transportation & Logistics sector. He previously worked for Chevron in their finance department. Santiago has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa, a Master in Finance from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Garrett is a member of the Global Investments team and has 5+ years of corporate finance experience in a variety of different industries. Prior to joining AIP in 2021, Garrett worked at Rabobank International where he provided strategic advisory services for M&A and refinancing as well as structured capital solutions for minority and corporate venture investing. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Management from Duke University and the Fuqua School of Business.
Vika joined AIP in 2022. She has over 15 years of experience in accounting, audit, finance and administration. Prior to joining AIP, she was a Fund Manager for alterDomus, US. Vika has a B.A. and an MBA in Finance & Accounting from the University of Connecticut.
Sophia is a member of the Global Investments team and has 2+ years of corporate finance experience. She started her career at Morgan Stanley in London, where she specialised in Transportation and Infrastructure Investment Banking. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Arts in European Politics with Spanish from King’s College London.
Isobel is a member of the Global Investments team and has 4+ years of corporate finance experience. Prior to joining AIP in 2023, Isobel worked in Credit Suisse's investment banking division in London as a member of the Telecoms, Media and Technology group. Isobel holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham.
Claire is a member of the Global Investments team and has 5+ years of corporate finance experience. Prior to joining AIP in 2022, Claire worked at BNP Paribas in Leveraged Finance group supporting M&A, LBO and other financing activities for both corporate and PE clients. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from New York University.
Donald joined AIP in 2023. He has 4+ years of experience in accounting. Prior to joining AIP, he was a Tax Consultant for Deloitte in the Multistate Tax Division. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Accounting from Sacred Heart University.
Sim joined AIP in 2023. He has 7+ years of experience in accounting. Audit and administration. Prior to joining AIP, he was a Fund Accountant for alterDomus. Sim has a MS in Accounting from the St. John’s University, New York.
Aida is an assistant in the US office. She has over 20 years' experience working for financial firms and she has been working at AIP for over 15 years. Prior to joining AIP, she worked as an office assistant at Medis Technologies Ltd/Stanoff Corp, a financial and technology firm that was based in the US and Israel.
Joanne is an assistant in the Greenwich office. She has more than 20 years’ experience working within a Support/Office Management Role, Prior to joining AIP in 2011, Joanne worked for the CEO of a real estate development company in Westchester. She has a BS from Iona College.
