Our approach to ESG

Materiality

Materiality assessment is a key component of all of our ESG programmes and is an essential tool to prioritize ESG issues in terms of their relevance to a specific asset, potential impact on the overall portfolio and importance to stakeholder groups.

Materiality is assessed for each asset individually and may be influenced by many factors, including:

  • Industry sector
  • Geography
  • Regulation/legal juristiction (local, state and national, as applicable)
  • Size
  • Number of employees

The materiality assessment is undertaken as part of the on-boarding process for all portfolio assets, and on an on-going basis annually.
